The highly anticipated Nagpur Startup Fest 2018 took place on October 6th, 2018, bringing together a diverse array of players in the entrepreneurial landscape. For the first time, the event witnessed the convergence of government representatives, investors, budding businesses, educational institutions, and social organizations under a single roof at the Kavi Suresh Bhat Sabhagruha in Reshimbag, Nagpur. This day-long affair provided a platform for new and emerging business visionaries to showcase their capabilities and discuss the challenges they face in envisioning long-term success. The fest gave a stage for new and emerging business visionaries to exhibit their true capacity and talk about the difficulties that each start-up needs to go through. The celebration was coordinated to target advancing enterprising souls among the people, particularly the young ones. It is likewise expected to give the new businesses and maturing business visionaries a stage to grandstand their true capacity and examine barriers where each start-up experiences issues in imagining a drawn-out effective endeavor. A huge gathering of more than 5000 visitors from various fields witnessed this amazing Event. The Event ware organized by the Indian Council for Technical Research and Development in association with Nagpur Municipal Council. The program was inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. The event was presided over by Mayor Nanda Jichkar as well as MP Ajay Sancheti, Member Secretary of ICTRD Ketan Mohitkar, Dewang Dave from Navayuvak, Sandip Joshi, and others.
More than 100 startups applied to pitch at NSF. out of them, 10 startups were shortlisted for pitch in front of all stakeholders, investors, and more than 2000 people. Demonstration of Droni Tech utility drone manufacturing company and Honda’s Coo App loaded two-wheelers and Bicycles were among the attractions. Various Panel Discussions were organized featuring experts from the startup ecosystem.
All shortlisted Startups were Felicitated by ICTRD and NMC. Not only winners but also all 5000 participants were provided with Participation certificates, Free Lunch, emergency medical assistance, and other amenities in this whole-day event. At the Entry & Registration Hall, many Start-up companies had put up their stalls.
